Mama's Chocolate Chip Cookies

The BEST gooey chocolate chips you've ever had. Period.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup salted butter, softened

  • 1 cup dark brown sugar

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • 1 egg

  • 2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour (more if needed - dough should be very stiff)

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 1/2 cups Belgian Chocolate Chips (or 1 pkg other chocolate chips)

  • Optional: French Flaky Salt

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375ΒΊ.

  2. Use a wooden spoon to mix butter, brown sugar and sugar.

  3. Add egg and vanilla. Mix well.

  4. Add flour, baking soda, and salt and mix. Add more flour if necessary to make very stiff dough.

  5. Add chocolate chips and create balls of dough on a baking sheet.

  6. Cook for about 8 minutes or until edges are golden brown and middles are still gooey.
